Unmask the Children
I am writing to you in regards to the recent reinstallation of school mask mandates, and on behalf of all students and athletes in District 201, am putting you on notice that shall any harm come to any student or athlete as a result of forced mask wearing while participating in any school activity, Belleville Township High School District 201 will be held accountable.
There is absolutely no proof that wearing a mask of any kind other than an N-95 provides any protection against the transmission of COVID-19. However, many studies demonstrate the detrimental effects masks have on the physical, psychological, and emotional development of children and adolescents.
The need for oxygen increases upon physical exertion and therefore athletes are at greater risk for suffering the effects of masks. Forcing any student or athlete to cover the organ responsible for collecting the necessary oxygen to maintain adequate blood oxygen levels for proper bodily function is, by definition, assault and battery, and punishable by law!
Attempting to curtail the transmission of COVID-19 by implementing measures that are not intended to prevent transmission is disingenuous and a misrepresentation of the data provided by the manufactures of these products. Just as the COVID-19 experimental vaccine manufacturers blatantly state that the vaccines do not prevent the spread of the virus, mask manufacturers also declare that masks do NOT prevent the transmission of COVID-19.
Since no medical grade or cloth masks students and athletes are being forced to wear have been approved to prevent the transmission of COVID-19, their use is completely experimental. U.S.C. 360-bbb-3 codifies that all people have the absolute right to refuse experimental treatment, and the CDC affirmed this right in August 2020. Federal Law HHS Title 45 CFR part 46, along with fourteen other federal agencies, prohibit mandating experimental treatments.3 According to the PREP (Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness) Act of 2005, neither state agencies nor private entities may mandate any treatment that is not fully licensed.3 Masks have NOT been licensed to treat or prevent the transmission of COVID-19.
The Nuremberg Code, which was founded on the principles of medical ethics, created a set of standards that must be followed while doing experiments on human subjects. Rule 1 states that “the voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential” and that the human subject should have “comprehension of the elements of the subject matter involved as to enable him to make an understanding and enlightened decision.”14 No data exists on the efficacy of masks in COVID-19 prevention, however an abundance of data exists on the detrimental effects masks have on the people who wear them. Therefore, in an attempt to provide full disclosure in order to obtain informed consent from students and athletes, all data on the effects of masks, both positive and negative, must be disclosed to them before they chose whether or not to wear a mask. ALL students and athletes have the right to refuse this treatment! Rule 1 of the
Nuremberg Code Rule 1 also states that the human subject should “be able to exercise free power of choice, without the intervention of any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, overreaching, or other ulterior form of constraint or coercion.” 14 Forcing students and athletes to compromise their physical health by implementing a treatment under the false pretense that it does something it doesn’t actually do, while ignoring the psychological and emotional effects the treatment may have on the child’s development is undoubtedly fraudulent and overreaching. Threatening students and athletes from being withheld from educational opportunities and school activities as a result is definitely coercive and a clear violation of this rule.
I urge you to start seeking information from alternative sources that are unbiased and have no interest in financial or political gain. I encourage you to rely on the data from medical professionals who take their oath of “first do no harm” seriously and truly have the health of the American people at heart, rather than their billion dollar profits. I invite you to review the referenced data provided in this letter and implement COVID-19 preventative measures for students and athletes in District 201 accordingly. Should you ignore the scientific data demonstrating the potential harm masks pose to students and athletes and continue to practice these unproven policies, Belleville West District 201 will be held liable to any harm that may come to any student or athlete as a result.
